You Can Show Refugees
the Kindness of Jesus
Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan seems especially relevant today as so many people in our world are refugees — and many are children. They fled from war, mayhem, and terror. Now they live each day in makeshift camps or temporary housing, unsure when or if they can return home.
Perhaps overwhelmed by the enormity of the need, most people who see this information “walk right by” the more than 22.5 million refugees. You’ve probably noticed that the media are, by and large, keeping their spotlight away from the refugee crisis. Most of the world refuses to get involved.
But we must be different. As long as these people suffer, we must continue to “stop on the road” to help!
Will you show hurting refugees that God has not forgotten them, that people care? It only takes $40 to offer a Hope Kit filled with life-saving essentials to a refugee. That same $40 also delivers concrete help and the life-changing hope of Jesus.
To provide what is needed for 3,750 waiting refugees, $150,000 is required by August 10. More than half of all refugees are children.
Anything you give today for Hope Kits will be a tremendous blessing to those who have suffered so much. It will show refugees who’ve lost everything that God has not forgotten them.
