Each 13 Cents You Give
Provides One Meal
A 6-year-old girl in Africa loses her parents and has no one to care for her. Where will she get her meals?
She does whatever it takes to survive. Some days she will ask strangers on the street for food. Other days she will find scraps — even in the garbage. And some days she will have nothing to eat at all.
Many children live like this every day. Your gift TODAY will ensure children and families living without enough food receive regular shipments of meals from Global Aid Network® (GAiN®).
It costs just 13 cents to provide one meal AND share the hope of Jesus. That means every $20 you send will provide 154 meals. So many people living in Africa, Central Asia, and Latin America need help getting the food they need to survive.
They rely on both GAiN and you. Each month the meals you provide are distributed to the most vulnerable in some of the toughest places on earth:
- Orphans living in children’s homes
- Child-headed households
- Widows, the elderly, and grandparent-headed households
- People sick with HIV/AIDS
- The blind and disabled
Many of these people might not survive unless they receive life-saving food. Your help is especially critical right now. Just 13 cents a meal gives nourishment and relieves suffering, restores dignity, and reveals hope!
From Malnourished to Flourishing
Marco lives in a southern African country. After both parents died, he came to live at a children’s home supported by a ministry partner. It was uncertain the kind of care he received in the last weeks or months his parents were alive, but Marco was very malnourished when he first arrived at the home. Thanks to meals provided by people like you, Marco is now strong and in excellent health.
Our field partners in Marco’s community hosted a feeding program through which children spent the afternoon playing games, doing crafts, listening to Bible stories, and then they enjoying a meal before going home. These meals could be the only food some of them receive.
“We’re always greeted with joy and laughter as children anticipate going to sleep with full bellies,” shared our partner.
Not only were meals provided for orphans in Marco’s home, but also for several other orphanages and vulnerable households in the area.
Marco is a great example of what the gift of meals can do. Today this once neglected, malnourished little boy thrives. He’s an active boy who loves to swim, climb trees, and hunt for spiders. The gift of meals helped change his life
