Students Creating Positive Change

Many college students place high value on social justice and making a difference in the world. These students seek hands-on opportunities to do something significant in the lives of others. GAiN’s partnership with Cru campus and international field staff members positions us to provide opportunities for students to make an impact on people across the globe and in the U.S.

We accomplish this through the provision of humanitarian aid and activities focused on improving quality of life by relieving suffering and restoring dignity. Your campus partnership with GAiN can create positive change in individuals, families, and communities.

Critical Aid

Disaster Relief

Help disaster victims rebuild their lives by expressing the kindness of Jesus through disaster clean up trips.

Food and Agriculture

By hosting a PACKHOPE™ Experience, student volunteers help people in the toughest places on earth who do not have enough food to eat. You will help relieve their suffering, restore their dignity, and reveal hope. We provide two options for how you can do that — a fun event packing meals or seeds. Contact us to learn more.

Clean Water

Individual students or various campus clubs and organizations can provide clean water for people living in some of the toughest places on earth by creating a personalized Clean Water Fundraising Campaign! Students working together can bring help and hope to people living without access to safe, clean water by funding a new water well. Contact us to learn how!

Critical Aid for Refugees

Students can serve refugees by traveling with GAiN on humanitarian trips such as refugee care in Greece or vision clinics in the Middle East. Through these projects you will have opportunity to show the kindness of Jesus and help GAiN field partners build ongoing relationships in refugee communities.

Refugee Care

Disaster Relief

When disaster strikes, people affected need help recovering from the damage to their homes and lives. GAiN partners with campuses to bring students together to help with disaster cleanup efforts. Contact us to learn more.

Liberia Vision Clinics (Students)

Liberia

MOREAPPLY

Liberia Vision Clinics (Students)

Liberia, on the West African coast, was the first African republic to declare its independence, in 1847.  After the American Civil War, thousands of African Americans migrated to Liberia, joining freed slaves from the Caribbean and the existing African population.  Today Liberia has a population of five million.

Many people in remote villages lack access to basic necessities. GAiN® partners in Liberia build relationships with people in rural locations and provide resources including food, clothing, school supplies to orphanage children, and much needed water filters. You too can help villagers by providing for another great need — eyeglasses.

As a member of this team you will travel to village areas in rural Liberia. There you and your teammates will meet one-to-one with people in several locations to assess vision and provide needed glasses. By providing glasses through these clinics you help our partners build stronger relationships in the villages so they can continue to meet critical needs and share the hope of Jesus.

This trip is only available to students. No medical experience is required. Trip participants will receive training for eyeglass fittings at the beginning of the trip.
