Global Aid Network Distribution Center- Summer Work Project - June 16 - 21, 2008

Global Aid Network Pennsylvania Warehouse

Summer Work Project--June 16-21, 2008

New!  Yes, we are offering a new opportunity for you at our warehouse in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania!  So that many more people around the country with summer vacation time or school-age children can have the joy and fun of participating in this project and seeing the multitude of historical and vacation spots nearby, we are planning our first Summer Work Project:  June 16-21, 2008!

As always missions trips and shipments of compassionate aid are planned by Global Aid Network to reach out around the world.  Volunteer help in preparing shipments of loads of aid is vital to the ongoing ministry outreach.  Your contribution of time and effort will not only be an enjoyable time of Christian fellowship but it will help to give you a better understanding of what is happening in missions in many countries worldwide. At the same time you will provide valuable assistance toward packing and processing items like shoes, Packing shoes at the warehousevegetable seeds, clothing, CarePacks of school supplies, Teddy bears or other aid that will go out in shipments to places such as various countries in Africa, Belarus, Central Asia, the Middle East, Russia, and Ukraine among others. There will be jobs for everyone from elementary age on up. Please come help!

Since 1991, more than $125 million worth of humanitarian aid like food, medicine, medical equipment, clothing, shoes, and more has been sent to assist in meeting physical needs and toward gospel ministry in countries around the world. It was delivered personally by caring Christians to orphans, invalids, prisoners, and poor families. That is more than 350 of the 40-foot shipping containers sorted, packed, and sent! Our staff of 50 could have never assembled that much aid alone! To give perspective on what amount of manpower it takes--nearly 4,800 different people volunteered at our Fall 2007 Work Project.  Without compassionate volunteers like you who gave time and effort to help others, this aid would have never arrived to save lives.

Now that Global Aid Network has a permanent warehouse facility for receiving, processing, packing, and shipping compassionate aid, you are needed - now more than ever.  Not only are we sending materials to locations where mission trips are being held, but also we are providing emergency relief around the globe in response to disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, mudslides and the like.  And, humanitarian aid is helping to open doors of opportunity for the gospel in limited access countries.  Requests for aid are coming in from numerous countries and the need to prepare items for missions and emergency response is ongoing.
