Why go?  Siberian Russia is a vast land that was formerly a place of gulag exile for political prisoners and persecuted Christians. Today Siberia is sometimes called the “forgotten frontier,” because few missionaries or mission teams travel that far distance, by comparison to the amount of mission activity in western cities of the former Soviet Union. This territory remains a fertile field for ministry sowing and harvest where
many have still never heard the message of Jesus Christ.
Global Aid Network has invested significant time and effort to develop long-term ministry outreach in Siberia. God has honored that commitment and has caused the work to be fruitful -- numerous churches and missionaries have been assisted in starting many new ministry initiatives in places like orphanages, prisons, drug rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and social services centers.
Who can go? This trip is great for those who have a pioneering heart in reaching
others for Christ. Participants will work in teams with local ministries to deliver the gospel and gifts of aid while visiting
orphanages, social services centers for needy families, hospitals, and other places strategic to the local churches' ministry goals .
Where we’ll go? This winter two separate teams are being formed for travel to Siberia:
- One team will visit the city of Krasnoyarsk,
- Another team will travel to the city of Novokuznetsk.
Each of these two teams will carry out similar ministry plans: they will help to assist local churches through outreach in a variety of places like orphanages, shelters for children, hospitals, schools, prisons, etc. They will deliver humanitarian aid items like food, clothing, shoes, vegetable seeds, and/or CarePacks of school supplies and every team member will have multiple opportunities to share the Good News of Christ. When completing your registration form, write in either KRASNOYARSK or NOVOKUZNETSK to indicate the name of which city you want to visit.
