2007 Trips

Join Global Aid Network In Jamaica

Why go?  Jamaica is a very poor country, with many of its citizens living in poverty and in desperate need of assistance. By helping to meet some of their basic needs, we can have the opportunity to introduce them to Jesus. In Jamaica, Christianity is numerically strong but spiritually weak.

Global Aid Network’s outreach to Jamaica offers an economical way for you to participate on a short-term mission trip where you’ll truly bring tangible help and spiritual hope to people’s lives.

Our work here in the past: For more than ten years assistance has been given toward the establishment of a church in the mountain community of Copse near Montego Bay.  That partnership is continuing toward the planting of a second church in Burnt Savannah--a community that needs to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Where will we go?  The team will travel to the very poor community of Mammee River, just outside of Kingston, which is the capital of Jamaica.

Jamaica Girl Vision

What will we do? We will conduct a medical clinic to treat basic health needs.  We will work closely with medical professionals from Kingston as we treat those who come to the clinic.  We will seek to meet both physical and spiritual needs as we share the Good News of Jesus Christ and distribute humanitarian aid to those who come to the clinic.

Who can go?  Both medical professionals and non-medical participants are needed.  Please consider coming on this trip if you are a physician, nurse, pharmacist or have some other form of medical experience.  In addition, individuals with no medical training are also needed to help run the clinic and participate in outreach ministry.

Accommodations:  Participants will stay at a local hotel in Kingston.

Download a medical mission brochure.

Where will we go?  We will be ministering in Copse, a mountain community outside Montego Bay and also to the very poor community of Burnt Savannah on the southwest side of the island.

Volunteer in Jamaica

What will we do? We will visit and share the love of Christ at a local orphanage and with the children in schools, and conduct a service project through the mountain church in Copse.  Humanitarian aid including school supplies will also be distributed.

Who can go?  This trip is great for those who have a heart for reaching others for Christ.  We extend a special invitation to students from McKinney Christian Academy who have a heart for outreach to those in need on the island of Jamaica.
