Pennsylvania Distribution Center--June 2008 Work Project Report

At the recent June 2008 Mission Preparation Work Project at Global Aid Network’s Pennsylvania Distribution Center, volunteers helped prepare shipments of physical aid that will be used to open spiritual doors in locations ranging from El Salvador to Siberia.
Altogether more than 1,501 different people joined in the project that included the following items which were processed and packed for shipment:
-
15,939 pairs of shoes
-
46 bales of clothing
-
8,670 CarePacks of school supplies
-
133,647 packs of vegetable seeds (with 10 individual packs of seeds in each packet--that is more than 1,000,000 packs of seeds!)
-
504 gospel aprons (with colored pockets used to communicate the gospel message across language barriers)
-
13,500 colored bead bracelets--tools for communicating the gospel message
-
58,440 stuffed animals
-
88 walkers, 25 pairs of crutches, …and more.
We thank God for all those who joined in the joyous time of fellowship who gave of their time, their hard work, and their prayers to see this work accomplished.
Throughout the year additional work projects will take place with opportunities for volunteers, young and old alike, to come and participate. Whether as an individual, a family, home school group, church or school group, there will be jobs for everyone.
