Join Global Aid Network In Guatemala
Why go? Still recovering from a 36 year civil war that ended in 1996, Guatemala is a country in desperate need. The country is bordered by Belize and the Caribbean Sea to the northeast, and Honduras and El Salvador to the southeast, with a population of approximately 12.7 million people.
As a developing country, Guatemala is among the 10 poorest countries in Latin America with approximately 29% of the population living below the poverty line. Many people are struggling to provide for their families and many children go without adequate food, shelter and education. By helping to meet some of these most basic needs, we can have the opportunity to introduce them to Jesus.
Global Aid Network has been sending compassionate aid to Guatemala for a number of years. The ministry desires to continue providing critically needed aid to this country.
Who can go? This trip is great for those who have a special place in their heart for children and needy people. Families are welcome.
Where will we go? Teams will serve in children's ministry, working with the local church to deliver aid and hope to people in need. The team will travel into a major city and then out to remote areas.
