Join Global Aid Network in Uganda

Uganda Child Why go?  Uganda has been known as the "Pearl of Africa" due to its history of stability and rich resources.  However current realities tell another story.

Since 1987, the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) has been attacking villages in Northern Uganda.  The Ugandan government moved to stop the LRA causing them to retaliate even more.  More than 1.5 million people have fled for their lives and now live in absolute poverty in refugee camps without enough food, water, or medical care.  Many children have been orphaned by an LRA attack or by the next largest killer - AIDS. More than 13 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS.

These children need the Savior - Jesus Christ, and the mission of Noah's Ark Children's Ministry Uganda (Noah's Ark) heard the call for help.  Noah's Ark Children's Home began with a rented house with five bedrooms and a small playground which could house 20 babies up to two years old.  Today, the facility has expanded to house over 70 children.

Global Aid Network has been sending mission teams and compassionate aid to this country for a number of years.  The ministry desires to continue providing critically needed aid to this country.

Who can go?  This trip will be great for those who have an adventurous, pioneering heart for reaching others for Christ.

Where will we go?  Participants will conduct community outreach, while also ministering to the orphans at Noah's Ark Children's Ministry.  Housing will be provided within the compound of the Noah's Ark orphanage.
