NEW! Help a child attend school. Give a scholarship now.
StudentsNoah’s Ark Children’s Ministry in Mukono, Uganda, serves more than 70 children who have been abandoned or have lost their parents to war, AIDS, or malaria. The home has been in operation since 2000 and Global Aid Network has partnered with the local outreach in providing short-term mission teams, funding for construction, work project teams and, humanitarian aid.

The level of literacy in Uganda is very low and schools are rare especially in the rural areas. Of the seven villages surrounding Noah’s Ark, only one has a school. As such, Noah’s Ark has built a school for children of the orphanage and surrounding villages. In 2007 New Horizon Nursery and Primary School opened its doors with 120 students. The community enthusiastically welcomed this initiative to educate their children. Many of the families are poor, having no access to medical care, clean drinking water, sanitation and balanced meals; therefore, education is seen as a positive step to a brighter future.

Global Aid Network has launched a Student Scholarship Program for 40 students attending the New Horizon Nursery and Primary School. For only 78 cents per day, you can help to provide a child the education, with a Christian foundation, he or she so desperately needs. Each child will have two sponsors each providing $23.50 per month which will provide the following:

  • School supplies
  • Meals (a morning and afternoon snack plus a hot lunch)
  • Teachers’ salaries
  • School uniforms
  • Basic medical care (malaria treatment; de-worming medication)
  • Classroom cleaning supplies

The future of Uganda lies in the hands of its children – let us help to provide hope for each child and for this country.
