The President's Volunteer Service Award
Established in 2003, The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a Presidential recognition program for Americans who contribute substantial amount of time in volunteer service in a 12-month period. The program recognizes individuals, families, and groups who give of their time, talents, and compassion to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Global Aid Network has become a Certifying Organization for the Volunteer Service Award. The vision for this partnership came from Global Aid Network CEO, Duane Zook:
For more than 15 years volunteers with Global Aid Network have participated as an invaluable part of our ministry outreach. I believe that the President’s Volunteer Service Award program provides a way to encourage volunteers and also will help expand and enhance the opportunities to join us in demonstrating God’s love in word and deed.
As a Certifying Organization, Global Aid Network is encouraging new and existing volunteers to participate in the Volunteer Service Award program. Recognizing that many of Global Aid Network’s volunteers give a substantial amount of time to impact their world through serving as field representatives and affiliates, participating in mission trips, and assisting with preparations for trips, Global Aid Network has chosen to join the President in honoring these volunteers for their selfless commitment to others.
