Life at Global Aid Network

Global Aid Network, was founded by Christian apologist Josh McDowell originally under the name Operation Carelift. When the founder of a ministry has the heart, head, and hands of someone like Josh — that is, he feels deeply, thinks strategically, and serves willingly — the organization created by him has to be ready to meet opportunities as they arise.

Global Aid Network is a response ministry—if we see a need in the world that we feel particularly qualified to meet and God seems to be saying "Go! ", we go. We have responded to calls such as:

  • Delivering tons of humanitarian aid to the former Soviet Union and other countries in Africa, Central America, Central Asia, and Indonesia, to name a few.
  • Delivering food and Christian literature in Iraq
  • Drilling water wells in arid countries
  •   Helping victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita with water, food, Bibles and hope.
  •   Providing medical care and prescription glasses for the needy of North Africa.

Those of us on the team are here first and foremost to serve. We serve the hurting and needy around the world by delivering aid to help them at their point of greatest need. We serve each other through relationships of growing love and encouragement. And above all, we are here to serve the Lord Jesus by multiplying and extending His hands throughout the world.
