
At the most recent Fall 2007 Mission Preparation Work Project at Global Aid Network’s Pennsylvania Distribution Center, volunteers helped prepare shipments of physical aid that will be used to open spiritual doors in locations ranging from orphanages in Nigeria to prisons in Siberia.
Altogether more than 5,700 different people joined in the project that included the following items which were processed and packed for shipment:
- 33,521 pairs of shoes and boots
- More than 2 1/2 truck loads of clothing
- 13,498 CarePacks of school supplies
- 30,400 pack of vegetable seeds (with 30 individual packs of seeds in each packet--that is more than 900,000 packs of seeds!)
- 814 gospel aprons (with colored pockets used to communicate the gospel message across language barriers)
- 47,000 colored bead bracelets--tools for communicating the gospel message
- 58,440 stuffed animals
- 2,255 Adult diapers
- 70,235 Hospital bed pads
- 467 walkers, 246 pairs of crutches, …and more.
In all more than 7 truck loads were processed and packed for shipment overseas. We thank God for all those who joined in the joyous time of fellowship who gave of their time, their hard work, and their prayers to see this work accomplished.
Throughout the year additional work projects will take place with opportunities for volunteers, young and old alike, to come and participate.
